Mother's Day Posting

Dear Friends and Readers,

I have not been blogging as much as I thought I might. So many things come up during the day that I find myself wondering where the time has gone. My goal continues to be to accompligh the Northbrook 8.

Today is Mother's Day. It is special to me in so many ways. Firstly, I have heard from each of my beautiful children that they are thinking about me and send me warm wishes. Those who are in Chicagoland will get together later today for cookout, despite the threatening and uncooperative weather. Secondly, I think about my own mother who died on Mother's Day following complications of surgery. Those years since not haing her have passed so quickly. She is still missed and thought about often.

Dear Interested Reader,

Today I tried to get back to my blog after successfully ignoring it for a while. My difficulty came when I did not remember the URL and then had to wrestle with the password. Persistance pervailed, along with a few 911-type telephone calls to more experienced blogger colleagues. Here in the trenches, I remain Ruthie.

Hello, friends. Wow. What an experience this has been. Imagine, only yesterday, Friday (March 20), I knew nothing about blogs and today, here I am sitting at my kitchen table and am blogging wildly. I hope you will check my site frequently to read about my experiences. Next time, I will tell you about my adventures in setting up an e-mail account with Google. Of course, I had one, althought I could not remember the password and had to start all over. Stay tuned for more musings from RuthieNorthbrook.
